The NHS Open is designed to show how art - making it or consuming it - can be good for your health and wellbeing. Now in it's third year it exists to showcase some of the most interesting work, currently being made in the region. The NHS Open, 2010 is now open for submissions.
This year's theme is 'Lost and Found' and submissions are invited from across the community. A panel will pick the best 80-90 pieces and these will tour to 4 prestigious venues throughout 2010. LPT (Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust) will purchase the top, public voted for pieces for display across it's sites. The show's Patron is the internationally acclaimed poet, Jean Binta Breeze. As such the tour is also supported by a full programme of 'writing on art' workshops.
Email submissions to LPT's Arts Coordinator, Lydia Towsey (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)). Work should be sent in Jpeg or hard copy photo form. Send up to 2 pieces no later than May 15th, including: name, address, phone number, email, media and dimensions. Work should be no more than 1 x 1.5m and in any media. Please contact Lydia, as above for more detail.
