Glitter Arti - a sparkling success

Posted Monday, 10 January, 2011 by Pete Underhill

On the first weekend of November 2010, Creative Hinckley held their first ‘Glitter Arti’ event at the newly refurbished Atkins building on Lower Bond Street. By distributing almost 10,000 leaflets together with local press advertising, the group secured a visiting audience of over 700 members of the public, to view and purchase works of art and craft by 30 of the local areas artists.

The quality of art on display was particularly well received by the visitors who responded to a questionnaire with very favourable comments and suggestions on how next year’s event could be bigger and better. The most popular comment was “what a great use for an old building…just what Hinckley needs”

Many artists claimed exceptional sales and were very complimentary on how Creative Hinckley had organised the event.

We intend holding a similar event during the summer. We’ll provide you with details as soon as they are finalised. We are already accepting places for Glitter Arti 2011 and expect it to be a bigger occasion than 2010.

If you’d like to be part of next year’s event, scheduled to be held on 19 & 20 November 2011, get in touch via our website or email on: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
