A former school master has returned to learning by taking an Arts course at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.
Bob Thomas, a former School Master at the prestigious Oakham School, already has a degree in Applied Arts but decided to return to education by studying the Higher National Certificate in 3D Design Practice at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College to broaden his knowledge of Art and develop his business designing Art.
The HNC in 3D Design allows students to learn about 3D design practices including ceramics, glass, light metals and wood. Bob displayed her work in the College's Summer Festival which celebrates students' hard work and achievements from over the academic year.
Bob said: "The 3D Design course offers a rounded experience in art practices which can be combined together."
Bob works as part of Creative Hinckley and is the secretary of his local Art group. He has also set up his own business selling his artwork.
3D Design Course Leader Giovanna Nicklin said: “We are happy that Bob decided to study with us in order to broaden his experience and develop his business. There are always opportunities for individuals to retrain and we offer a variety of exciting Art & Design courses suitable for all levels.”
