Artist and Creative Hinckley member Peter Welton sets sail for the Antarctic

“You may know one of my delights is working as Artist on Board the Swan Hellenic cruise ship, Minerva.I have just been invited to work again on the ship...on a cruise from Buenos Aires where we will spend two days sightseeing - and I hope do some tango dancing - before we set off for West Falklands and Port Stanley. Next port of call will be in South Georgia with zodiac cruises and landings ashore after which we leave for Antarctica and the South Shetland Islands where it is planned we will spend a further three days exploring some of the most remarkable landscapes in the world, again using the ship's zodiac vessels for close cruising and landings ashore. When on board I give lessons in watercolour painting; I talk about my life as an artist and I do painting demonstrations.”
