Profile
In her youth, American textile artist Leigh Ann McDonagh was lovingly taught to crochet by her inspirational grandmother, Arminta. Thus began a lifelong love affair with textiles - art, heart and function entwined.
Her work encompasses a wide range of fibre and textile arts – including hand-spinning, crocheting, weaving, feltmaking, knitting, dyeing, rugmaking, sewing and quiltmaking.
Her focus is on teaching these skills to beginners, via workshops, make-and-take parties and one-to-one instruction, sharing the joy of making things by hand.
