Sue Mackrell

I am a poet and short story writer. I have an MA in Creative Writing from Loughborough University, and I teach the creative writing module there. My work has been published in a range of anthologies and magazines. With my husband David McCormack I run creative writing workshops with participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Themes of workshops include writing about art and museum artefacts, local history and personal memories.

Winsome Ruddock

As a Participatory Artist Winsome has over 19 years experience working with many diverse communities throughout the Midlands.
Using an exciting variety of interesting and engaging creative processes, Winsome works in close partnership with local authorities, schools, and community groups.
Utilising textiles, mosaic and painting, participants are given opportunities to explore and express themselves through the creative process.

The latest addition, ‘Art Parties’, which happen at her studio at the Atkins, provide fun, hands-on creative experience for boys and girls.

David McCormack

I was born in London. I hold an honours degree in English and a Master’s from the Shakespeare Institute. Formerly, I was an actor and director, I now teach English and creative writing at Hereward College in Coventry. I am a prolific writer of poetry and I have recently begun work on a tetralogy of plays on political figures for radio, the first of which, Stalin’s Final Statistic, was broadcast last year by Renaissance Radio.
