My work is inspired by animals and nature. I love to play with colour and textures and create bespoke needle felted brooches, cushions, vessels, jewellery and bags out of locally sourced wool. I am a full time crafter and spend my time teaching workshops and selling my work at galleries in the East Midlands and online. I welcome comissions and enjoy making a person's favourite animal out of wool.
Contemporary ceramic vessels, sculptures and wall panels for interior and exterior settings.
Well known for her work using coloured clays - subtle colours and textures produce intriguingly tactile surfaces, sometimes stretched and distressed almost as geological forces affect the earth’s crust.

I create handmade jewellery from silver, copper, brass and semi precious stones. The collection includes a series of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.
I am inspired by knitting which is incorporated through the mixed media elements in my jewellery. The theme of knitting and nostalgia is portrayed through texture, piercing, buttons, thread and paper. Every stage of the making process requires an individual and personal approach. Variations in scale, colour, composition and decoration, makes each item unique.
Commissions are welcomed.
In her youth, American textile artist Leigh Ann McDonagh was lovingly taught to crochet by her inspirational grandmother, Arminta. Thus began a lifelong love affair with textiles - art, heart and function entwined.
Her work encompasses a wide range of fibre and textile arts – including hand-spinning, crocheting, weaving, feltmaking, knitting, dyeing, rugmaking, sewing and quiltmaking.
Her focus is on teaching these skills to beginners, via workshops, make-and-take parties and one-to-one instruction, sharing the joy of making things by hand.
